Padiham FCs FA Carlsberg VASE 2nd round tie against Norton & Stockton Ancients was postponed for the second time on Wednesday night when Padihams Arbories Memorial Sports Ground pitch was once again water logged because of the continued wet weather. Members of the club are struggling to remember the last time Padiham FC had 3 scheduled home fixtures postponed in a row because of a water logged pitch. The Vase tie has been re-arranged for Saturday 21st November, kick-off 3.00 p.m. at the Arbories.

Padiham FC have not had the best of times result wise in the last few weeks losing 2-0 away at Colne and 3-1 at home to Ramsbottom United in the league as well as losing 4-3 away at Irlam in the NWCFL Challenge Trophy and 4-3 away at Colne in the Lancashire FA County Co-Operative Trophy after leading 3-0 with only 8 minutes to go in the cup tie.  Talks are still ongoing to bring one of Padihams best known characters to the club, even if only on a loan basis.
The identity of the character in question is still being kept under wraps by the Storks management team but after
being featured on 2BR Radio a number of clues as to the identity of the mystery signing are now out in the open
" The character in question has held a high position in the town for some time, has a long standing association with Wembley and is a big fan of the Lone Ranger. Favourite football song is No Ney Never No More." The club has even had a phone call from Spain wanting to know who the mystery character is.
